Following on from my previous post on workforce issues, this post highlights CyMAL’s newly published sector workforce development plan for 2013-14. It covers museums, archives and libraries, and outlines nine priority areas and what actions are being taken to deliver against these priority areas.
The priority areas are:
- collection care
- collection management
- community engagement
- customer care
- ICT, digital and e-skills
- leadership, management & business skills development
- professional and vocational development of sector staff
- skills sharing across museums, archives and libraries
- volunteer management.
