It’s that time of year again when library staff across Wales should be busy completing their entry form for the Marketing Innovation Awards.

This is the fourth year for these awards and they aim to celebrate the valuable work that library staff do to bring their services to new audiences and to develop new activities for existing users. The awards give library staff at all levels the chance to win national recognition for their work in promoting their service. There are separate categories for public and academic libraries.

To enter, go to the staff toolkit on the portal and find all the information you need in the marketing section. Entries are uploaded via the library portal, and the deadline is 25th January 2013. Organisations may submit more than one entry as long as each entry is for a different project. Projects must have taken place between 1st April – 31st December 2012. So, anything you did for ‘Get reading, get better, get libraries’ counts for example. Also in the awards section in the toolkit is information about previous winners.

Any problems, contact the marketing team in Wrexham (01978 298861, The awards are managed by Wrexham CBC as part of the marketing strand work of the Libraries Inspire strategy.

We’d really love to see an another increase in the number of entries – we know you’re all doing great marketing projects so why not enter the awards competition? You’ve nothing to lose!

Pob lwc!
