Do you have an interest in the accessibility of libraries and information services? If so, you may want to look at the forthcoming conference ‘Access All Areas: Accessibility in Higher Education’ which is on 27th November 2012 in Aberystwyth. NB although it says higher education in the conference title, I’ve been assured by the organisers that it’s open to everyone and will include relevent and interesting information for public, college and other library staff.

More information about the speakers, the programme and booking details can be found on the ALIS Wales website; bookings must be made by 16th November.

And if you’ve been reading your latest edition of the CyMAL magazine (it’s bright red, you can’t miss it), you’ll see there’s an article on a current project on accessibility to libraries, museums and archives which CyMAL are working on with the sector (the access summary templates project).

PS – If your library workplace hasn’t received any CyMAL magazines (Issue 13) please let me know.
