Technologies to watch out for

I find it very hard to picture the future where issues of technology are concerned, but thankfully the good folk at JISC have produced a brief summary of some of the technologies to look out for in the next 1 to 5 years, and how they can help with or relate to learning and education. I can’t say that I’m fully familiar with some of these (telepresence robots anyone?), but luckily that one is forecast for a few years away yet so I’ve got time to learn about it.

There are also some challenging statistics on their website including “by 2015, 80% of everyone accessing the Internet worldwide will be doing so from a mobile device.”
