I’m pleased to (finally) say that the summer issue (#11) of the CyMAL magazine is now published! This issue features the Cardiff rare books collection which was purchased by Cardiff University from Cardiff Council and their plans for research and promoting the items in the collection. It also has a summary of the Evaluation of Libraries for Life (see also my blog post on that) and an article on the digitisation of Welsh newspapers and journals by the National Library of Wales. Other items feature projects in the archives and museum domains in Wales.
You can view the magazine online and we send copies to all museums, archives and libraries in Wales, and other relevant cultural, heritage and educational organisations. It’s also sent to Welsh politicians (AMs and MPs). If your library service hasn’t seen any copies let me know and I’ll check our distribution list.
The magazine is published twice a year and I’m already working on issue 12 for the spring. If you have items that might be suitable for the news pages, send them to me!
